This is not a monograph.

Instead, Olle Lundberg has written a story that traces his personal and architectural journeys – from his experiences as a student at the University of Virginia to becoming the go-to architect for the Bay Area’s digital and hospitality elite.

Join Olle and former SF Chronicle Urban Design Critic John King, as they take a deep dive into Lundberg’s preferred material palettes—metal, stone, glass, wood, and found objects—and learn about the discipline and planning required for just five out of hundreds of the studio’s remarkable projects as featured in the newly released book, An Architecture of Craft: Rolling Wall Museum; Curly’s Cove; Lava House on the Big Island of Hawaii; Dog Leg House at Pebble Beach; Lundberg's own Northern California cabin.

Lundberg Design is part architecture firm and part workshop, based in the Dogpatch neighborhood in San Francisco. From its founding in 1987 to now, when technology can produce previously unthinkable but often mass-produced-feeling architecture, Lundberg Design focuses on the notion of craft—with each project contextualized for each client. Learn about his obsession with materials and how his studio pushes them to their limits using practical solutions.

Food, beer and wine generously donated by The Slanted Door.

Stout Books will be selling An Architecture of Craft during the event.
