Project Manager – Healthcare Architecture

As our portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a minimum of 7 years of architectural experience to join our collaborative team.
This position offers the opportunity to lead complex healthcare projects from initial planning through construction while working closely with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Position Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for leading multiple healthcare projects through all phases of design and construction. This individual will manage project schedules, coordinate consultant teams, maintain client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple healthcare projects through Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Permitting, Construction Administration, and Project Closeout.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including architectural staff and engineering consultants.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with California Building Codes, HCAI/OSHPD requirements, and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate project schedules, deliverables, budgets, and consultant activities.
- Facilitate technical meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members.
- Review construction activities and respond to RFIs, submittals, and field observations during Construction Administration.
- Mentor and support junior staff while fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery standards and quality control.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Minimum 7 years of professional architectural experience, preferably with healthcare projects.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited program.
- Architectural licensure is preferred; candidates actively pursuing licensure are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of California Building Standards Code and healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Experience with HCAI (formerly OSHPD) projects is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to delivering exceptional client service.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Work Environment
This position offers a flexible remote/hybrid work arrangement for candidates located within Northern California or the San Francisco Bay Area. Occasional travel to client meetings and project sites will be required.
