SIM Architects, established in 1996, is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year! SIM Architects is committed to enriching daily life through architecture that is pragmatically efficient, resilient, and cost-effective. Since 1996, our practice has embraced effective listening, proactive planning, and energetic collaboration. The Opportunity
We are looking for highly-motivated ambitious Summer Interns currently enrolled in an accredited architecture program who is eager to use this Summer Experience to advance their career path in architecture. As this is an advanced Summer Internship Program at SIM; it would be highly desirable to have already completed a Summer Internship at other established architectural firms. You will have tremendous opportunities to be exposed to various facets of an architectural practice. These summer internship positions are only open to candidates who are already enrolled in an accredited university and are fully authorized to work in the USA.
Qualifications
- Experience: previous Summer Internship experiences at other established architectural firms.
- Education: enrolled in a Bachelor of Architecture, or Master of Architecture programs at an accredited university.
- Technical Skills: Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Printer, Enscape/Lumion, Rhino/Sketch-up, REVIT/AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and hand-sketching. Adequate combination of these software skills will be required for this advanced internship.
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of various software and tools as listed above.
- Soft Skills: Great attitude, flexible mindset, takes directions well, analytical problem-solving, and able to “pitch-in” when needed in a team-oriented environment.
- Key Skills: Ability to work effectively balancing demands on multiple tasks and assignments at various stages of development.
