Richard Beard Architects is an award-winning, widely published design studio located in the vibrant Dogpatch neighborhood in San Francisco. Celebrating our 11th anniversary this year, our team of 20+ talented designers has completed, or in-progress, residential and hospitality projects throughout California, Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, Florida and Texas. Each of these projects offer a unique and tailored response to site, program and climate with an emphasis on collaboration within our studio and with our colleagues. Job Description
Recognized for expertise in client & consultant relationship management, Project Managers lead internal teams on the design and development of project-related work. Combining design, technical and management experience Project Managers coordinate the work while serving as the primary point of contact for small to medium-sized projects.
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited university required.
- 8+ years of single-family residential experience in an architecture studio leading medium or large residential or hospitality projects and multi-person teams.
- Exceptional client service skill along with excellent verbal, written and organization skills.
- Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, Excel and Word.
- Passion for design, drawing and the craft of construction.
- Architectural license in the State of California is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the principle, lead small to medium sized projects, through all project phases.
- Leads the development of design solutions, client and consultant meetings, and drawing set production.
- Serves as primary point of contact with clients, consultants and contractor throughout the project.
- Organizes the design and project delivery workflow for internal and external project team members.
- Prepares proposals, schedules, forecasts, progress reports and project plans for all assigned projects.
- Develops and oversees technical detailing and drawing, including consultant coordination.
- Manages the work of all internal project team members.
