Job Description

The Senior Project Manager provides leadership and guidance to staff on assigned projects including project initiation, proposals, contracts and scope, fees and budgets, project schedule, client, team and risk management. Reporting directly to the Principals, the Senior Project Manager represents the interests of the studio and team of architects in management decisions and design standards for assigned projects.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited university required.
  • 10+ years of single-family residential experience in an architecture studio leading medium or large residential or hospitality projects and multi-person teams.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, managing clients, leading design presentations combined with a strong design skill and exceptional portfolio or completed work.
  • Exceptional client service skill along with excellent verbal, written and organization skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, Excel and Word.
  • Passion for design, drawing and the craft of construction.
  • Architectural license in the State of California is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the principal, leads large and complex projects, coordinating all aspects of the work.
  • Leads the development of design solutions, client and consultant meetings, and drawing set production.
  • Serves as primary point of contact with clients, consultants and contractor throughout the project.
  • Prepares proposals, schedules, forecasts, progress reports and project plans for all assigned projects.
  • Develops and oversees technical detailing and drawing and manages the work of all team members including oversight of all quality control.
  • Develops and maintains client relationships and strategic consultant partnerships.
  • Participate with Principals on contract development, negotiation and execution.
  • Specialist and leader in a studio-wide Practice Area.
  • Manager of junior staff & contributes to the studio’s business development efforts.
