Project Architect, 12-15 Years Experience (ELS Architecture and Urban Design))

ELS Architecture + Urban Design is looking for talented and creative individuals interested in the design of new construction and remodel projects for athletic and fitness clubs, recreational facilities, competition and recreational aquatics and entertainment, retail, and/or master planning and urban design to join our team for a full-time position. The scope of work includes both architectural and interior design elements.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading creative and technical teams (both internal design team and external consultant coordination).
  • Developing project design and construction documents, as well as continued design representation during construction administration.
  • Attend and lead client-facing meetings and design coordination.
  • Supervise, coordinate and mentor junior design team members.
  • Help cultivate an environment of organization to achieve design excellence.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 12-15 years of architectural technical and design experience are helpful
  • Architectural registration and LEED accreditation preferred.
  • College degrees of BA, B-Arch or M-Arch is helpful.
  • Thorough knowledge of architectural detailing, building materials and codes.
  • Experience with Type I and II Construction.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to work independently in leading the design team in all phases of design and project delivery.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Licensed to practice architecture in California.
