Project Architect (10+ Years) (Paulett Taggart Architects)
Paulett Taggart Architects (PTA) is seeking a talented and well-rounded Project Architect to join our team. This role supports all phases of design and construction administration, preparing deliverables and actively contributing to design conversations throughout the project lifecycle.
This position works closely with project team members and principals and relies on a collaborative design process. Our design approach has evolved out of a deep understanding of the architecture, topography, quality of light and social fabric unique to the Bay Area, and results in architecture that is particular to its place. Role and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Support all aspects of project planning, programming, design and documentation through 3D modeling in Revit
- Manage and collaborate with project team members and consultants
- Engage, sketch and collaborate with principals and project team members in design charrettes and studies
- Learn and engage in PTA's initiatives in firm culture, firm standards, sustainability and business development
We are looking for someone with:
- 10 or more years of experience working in an architectural firm
- A strong design sensibility
- Exceptional architectural design thinking and graphic/visual communication skills
- Excellent communication (verbal, written and visual) skills
- Proficiency with Revit
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Collaborative (team player) mindset and eagerness to learn and ask questions
- Strong organization and management skills
- Strong technical knowledge & experience coordinating consultants
- Strong professional or academic reference(s)
- Experience in civic projects and multi-family housing is preferable

Candidates must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Our firm is extremely collaborative and values an in-office culture that fosters real-time collaboration, organic learning and hands-on communication.
Staff are required to work in the PTA office 3 days a week (subject to change). Currently, in-office days are Tuesday – Thursday, with the option to work from home on Monday and Friday.
