Showroom Sales Associate — Stanford Shopping Center
Location: Stanford Shopping Center, Palo Alto
Reports to: Showroom Manager
Schedule: Part-time, 15–25 hours/week. Evenings and weekends required.
Compensation: $25–30/hour DOE + monthly store bonus
Employment type: Part-time, hourly, non-exempt

About Galanter & Jones

Galanter & Jones is a Bay Area design studio and the original creator of heated outdoor furniture. We design and build cast-stone seating that stays warm — so people can stay outside longer, in more months of the year, in more of the places they already love. Our work is made in San Francisco.

Our Stanford showroom is where people encounter the product for the first time. Almost nobody has sat in a heated chair before.

About the Role

You are the reason people stop, sit down, and understand what this is.

This job is about creating that first experience and doing it well. You'll invite guests in, get them to try the seating, explain how it works, and answer the questions that come next. When someone is genuinely interested, you'll capture their information carefully and hand off a warm, well-documented lead.

You are not expected to close five-figure sales on your own. You are expected to be the best possible introduction to this product — curious, warm, and knowledgeable.

What You'll Do

• Welcome guests and invite them to experience the seating firsthand
• Explain how the heating works, what the material is, and how it's made
• Answer questions about sizing, installation, power, and outdoor use
• Capture leads accurately and completely in HubSpot
• Support quotes and follow-up alongside the Showroom Manager
• Help with opening and closing, merchandising, and keeping the space beautiful
• Support brand events and activations

What We're Looking For

• 1–2 years in retail, hospitality, or a design showroom
• Genuinely enjoy talking to strangers and explaining something new
• Careful and accurate with details — a lead captured wrong is a lead lost
• Comfortable with Shopify POS, HubSpot or a similar CRM, and iPads
• Available evenings and weekends
• Interest in design, materials, and how things are made

Compensation & Perks
