Designer II (Phillips Win Architecture)
Phillips Win Architecture, an award-winning design-oriented firm, is currently seeking a Designer II with 3-5 years of experience. The office has a collaborative and collegial atmosphere. Our projects include primarily affordable housing, as well as facilities for community-based service organizations, offices, retail, hospitality, mixed-use and private homes. We have long-standing relationships with our non-profit developer and service provider clients.

This is a full-time hybrid position. You will be expected to work in the office a minimum of 2 days per week. Our office is located near Jack London Square, within 5 minutes’ walk from the SF Bay Ferry terminal in Oakland, and 15 minutes’ walk from 12th St/Oakland City Center BART station.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of designer experience in a small to medium-sized firm with 2+ years of experience supporting affordable housing renovation and/or service organization renovation projects.
- On-the-job experience working in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Sketchup, and Adobe Design Suite.
- Able to independently perform a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity.
- Experience supporting all phases of architectural project delivery including experience assisting with consultant coordination and construction administration with direction and oversight from other staff members.
- Experience assembling drawing sets including technical details with direction and oversight from other staff members.
- Minimum B.A. in Architecture.
- Knowledge of architectural design, detailing, building materials, and California building codes.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal communication.
- Exhibit a passion and aptitude for design.
- Demonstrate initiative, responsibility, and organization, and possess strong collaborative abilities.
- Building construction experience and free-hand drawing ability a plus.
