Project Designer (North Coast Land Holdings)
Project Designer
Full-Time | San Francisco
About Us
We are a vertically integrated development and design firm, bringing together acquisition, development, architecture, and construction management under one roof. This structure allows us to move faster, collaborate more deeply, and deliver thoughtful, high-quality projects with a strong sense of ownership from concept through completion.
The Role
We’re looking for a Project Designer who can contribute to projects with both design sensibility and technical rigor. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being embedded in the full lifecycle of a project—working closely with developers, fellow designers, and builders to translate ideas into well-executed buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality drawing sets and technical documentation (SD-CA)
- Produce renderings and visualizations
- Support construction phase activities, including site visits, RFIs, and submittal reviews
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of architectural experience in multifamily and/or hospitality sectors
- Technical experience producing construction documents
- Revit experience (required); familiarity with other design tools a plus
- Experience coordinating with consultants on complex, built projects
- Clear communication skills and ability to work across disciplines
- Strong interest in real estate development
What Makes This Role Different
- Direct exposure to the development side—understand the “why” behind decisions
- Closer collaboration with builders, leading to more buildable, efficient designs
- Visibility across the entire project lifecycle
- Opportunity to influence both design and execution, not just documentation
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) with company match
- PTO, holidays, and sick leave
Our office is conveniently located at the intersection of Jackson Square and the Financial District in San Francisco, with easy access to BART, Ferry and MUNI.
