Project Architect II/III (Group 4 Architecture, Research + Planning, Inc.)
Group 4 Architecture, Research + Planning, Inc. seeks a full-time Project Architect II/III to join our dynamic team. We work nationwide to create places for communities to gather, imagine, and grow.
Qualifications
Requirements for this position include at least six years of professional licensure in the United States and at least six years of experience on non-residential projects. Successful candidates will demonstrate:
• Fully competent in all conventional aspects of architecture, including analysis, design, and specifications
• Ability to generate, develop, critically evaluate, and present architectural concepts throughout all phases of the design process
• Coordination with design and engineering team on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies
• Responsibility for specific technical aspects of assigned projects, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions to meet client and project needs
• Thorough understanding of building and accessibility codes
• Thorough understanding of design documentation, architectural detailing, and building systems/assemblies
• Familiarity with the public bid process and its impact on drawings and specifications
• Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and staff within a studio environment
• Ability to provide technical guidance to less experienced architectural staff supporting projects
• Strong design sensibility and commitment to sustainable design; LEED accreditation is a plus
• Proficiency with BIM/3D modeling software including Revit and SketchUp, the Adobe Creative Suite, and hand sketching
• Strong written, graphic, and oral communication skills
