LEADERSHIP:
- Monitors design process from conceptual phase through construction administration, ensuring the design idea is consistent and properly executed.
- Responsible for technical resolution and coordination for a defined portion of a project.
- Ensures that construction detail documentation conforms to quality assurance, quality control and best practice standards.
- Supervises preparation of technical drawings by junior level architects or technicians
- Leads and mentors the professional development of junior team members.
- Foster and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship to the project team(s), Studio Lead(s) and Leadership teams.
CLIENT INTERFACE:
- Works on developing a positive relationship of trust with client leadership.
- Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.
TEAMWORK:
- Leads the production of documents required for owner, agency approval, bidding and construction; including drawings, specifications, project manuals, design narratives and code analysis.
- Resolves design, construction and other technical issues with design team while maintaining sights on innovative and constructible design solutions.
- Prepare architectural illustrations and diagrams of exceptional quality and design excellence thru all phases of project delivery.
- Provides technical support and project communications to the team as required.
- Attends on-site visits, field reviews and project meetings. Prepares and coordinates the review of contractor’s schedules, submission of shop drawings and samples.
- Provides support to all team members for specific market, discipline or other areas of expertise.
- Participates in the review of project costs and budgets, adherence to schedule.
EDUCATION: Degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
LICENSE: NCIDQ, CCIDC, NCARB, ASID or comparable license or certification preferred or in process.
EXPERIENCE: 7-10+ years’ extensive experience in all phases of architectural design, including substantial and varied experience involving responsible planning and interior design of complex projects. Substantial experience with applications of engineering technology, interior design materials and construction methods. Experience with high-end restaurant and hospitality, or high-end residential a plus.
Skills and Abilities: Excellent drafting and detailing skills; Revit proficiency; Photoshop, 3D, AutoCAD proficiency; and, excellent organization skills.
