Jackson Liles Architecture (JLA) is seeking a talented and technically proficient Project Architect with 8–12 years of professional experience to join our collaborative and dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to projects from schematic design through construction, while working in a creative, supportive environment.

About Jackson Liles Architecture At JLA, we create thoughtful, high-quality architecture that improves the way people work, gather, and live. Our diverse portfolio spans commercial ground-up construction, adaptive reuse, industrial and logistics facilities, education, recreation, and residential renovations. Our current work includes urban infill developments, food banks, a new city recreation center, non-profit and community-focused facilities.

We are a woman-owned, San Francisco-based firm of 16 architects and designers who value design excellence, technical rigor, environmental responsibility, and a collaborative, supportive studio culture. 

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience working at an architecture studio
  • Architectural licensure (or path to licensure)
  • Strong technical knowledge, including building systems, detailing, sustainability and code compliance; experience with DSA projects is a plus
  • Proven experience producing and coordinating Construction Documents with internal and consultant team members
  • Advanced skills in Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate across teams
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. & must currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area
