The Opportunity

Y.A. studio is seeking an Intermediate or Senior Architect (licensed or actively pursuing licensure) to join our award-winning, design-focused practice at a pivotal moment of growth.
This role is ideal for a technically strong architect with meaningful multi-family housing experience who wants real ownership (not just production responsibility) across all phases of a project.
You will work directly with firm leadership and consultants from schematic design through construction administration, contributing to projects that shape communities across California.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to design development across multiple project types
  • Prepare and coordinate construction documents
  • Manage consultant coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Participate in client and agency meetings
  • Support construction administration efforts
  • Mentor junior staff (senior-level candidates)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • Significant multi-family housing experience
  • California Architectural License preferred (or on path)
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit
  • Strong technical documentation and detailing skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational discipline
  • Ability to manage deadlines and collaborate in a hybrid environment
