We are primarily focused on Residential architecture and design projects.

Role Description

This is a 30-32 hour per week (4 days per week) hybrid role for an Architectural Designer with 3-5 years of experience, based in San Francisco, CA. The role includes creating and developing architectural designs, preparing construction drawings, and providing design support during construction. You will contribute actively to projects through design iterations, technical documentation, and client presentations, while working both in office and remotely to deliver meaningful architectural solutions that align with the studio's principles. We are just establishing our office space, but it will likely be in the Mission, Bernal, Potrero Hill or Dogpatch. We expect at least 2 days in the office, and up to four.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in team settings
  • B.Arch or M.Arch or corresponding professional experience
  • At least one year of experience drafting in Revit in a professional setting, 3-5 years using 3d and/or 2d drafting programs such as AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Illustrator, and more.
  • Adobe Creative Suites, Microsoft Office and Google Suites experience
  • At least 3 years producing drawings for traditional architecture and construction documents in a professional setting; experience with Schematic Design, Design Development, and permit documents, experience with
  • Construction Detailing is a plus.
  • Construction Administration (Design support during construction) or actual physical Construction field experience a plus
  • A design portfolio that communicates abilities such as: detail oriented, problem solving, and organization, along with advanced skills in representation including graphic design, rendering and 3d modeling
  • Understanding of Urban Planning and value based design principles to support projects in contextualizing and enhancing communities
  • Experience with and/or interest in sustainable design practices
