Sourcing, Sound, and Sustainability: How to Specify Interior Architectural Walls

Allsteel will host a presentation in conjunction with AIASF on Demountable walls, a streamlined solution for agile office environments that are built for change to respond quickly and cost-effectively. This session will discuss the advantages over traditional drywall, the transparency, versatility and the acceleration of the construction schedule.

Participants will learn about materiality and supply chain sourcing, how that impacts embodied carbon and the importance of sustainable certifications. They will identify how sound principles in design applications can affect a higher STC (sound transmission class). This session will illustrate the benefits for interior architectural walls that feature acoustics, accessibility and the significance of daylighting for occupant well-being.

Ashley Clark is the Architectural Solutions Manager at Allsteel for California, where she utilizes her technical experience to transform designs into built spaces. Her background in Architectural firms led to construction projects spanning interior and exterior projects. With certifications in LEED design and USGBC, Ashley’s career has focused on exploring how to make spaces perform better with sustainable material focused on human centric design. She is a Bay Area native and engaged member of the design community.
