Makers Talk
Makers Talk will reveal the rich mosaic of the creative process of individual making. We will unfold the origins and processes of creativity and the intricate interplay between inspiration, innovation and the act of making itself. Presentations by diverse practitioners working in the arts and at the intersection of architecture and design will broaden our assumptions of the complexities of making at scale, revealing insights into materials, research, methodologies, technology and their personal journey between vision and process to reach creative outcomes.
Illuminating Collaboration: Design, Art, Making and the Business of the Creative Partnership
Makers Talk brings together two acclaimed visionary creatives (Johanna Grawunder and Nicole Hollis) whose individual work powerfully shapes emotional experiences. Yet, it is through their cultivated professional and creative partnership that we explore the business of art and design, that it is through curation, patronage and cross-disciplinary collaborations that generatively sustain the making of art and symbiotically contribute to interior design and architecture. We will learn about their individual creative processes then discuss how their work merges to create environments that inspire, surprise and mutually foster vital artistic making.
