Architecture X Architecture: A Dialectic — Book Launch & Conversation

Join MAP Studio’s Katherine Lambert and Christiane Robbins for an illustrated lecture and conversation centered on their new book, Architecture X Architecture: A Dialectic.
Working across architecture, visual media, and environmental research, Lambert and Robbins examine how emerging technologies are reshaping the architectural imaginary—and the material world that sustains it. Moving from speculative images to the physical infrastructures of computation, their work asks how technology shapes what architecture can imagine, what it overlooks, and what it ultimately brings into the world.
Following the lecture, Lambert and Robbins will be joined by Keith Krumwiede, Dean of Architecture at California College of the Arts, for a conversation about the work and its implications for architectural practice and education.
Copies of Architecture X Architecture: A Dialectic will be available for purchase at the event through William Stout Architectural Books
MAP Studio—Metropolitan Architectural Practice—works across architecture, design, visual media, and research, examining the spatial, material, and cultural consequences of technological systems and connecting architectural speculation with environmental inquiry and public discourse.
