Fellowship Nominating Committee

To be eligible for Fellowship, you must:

• Be an AIA Architect member in good standing.
• Have at least 10 cumulative years of AIA Architect membership by the national application deadline.

Thursday, October 1, 2:00 P.M	AIA National application deadline

Candidates may submit directly to AIA National without participating in the local review process. However, candidates seeking an official AIASF chapter nomination must complete the chapter nomination process.

Following completion of the chapter nomination process, AIASF will provide the information needed to finalize the AIA National Fellowship application.

Because the AIA National application fee is non-refundable, candidates should consider participating in the local review process before submitting their online application.

Candidates are encouraged to participate in the AIASF Fellowship Nominating Committee review process before submitting their application to AIA National. The committee provides feedback and guidance to help strengthen submissions through up to three rounds of review.

Submit the following materials using this form. Digital files and presentation folders are accepted. Please label all materials with name, content, draft number and date (i.e. name-letter of intent-d1-01/01/26).

1. Letter of Intent
   A letter stating your interest in pursuing Fellowship.
2. Professional Biography
   Include:

• Significant projects
• Service to AIA and/or the public
• Publications
• Honors and awards

3. Fellowship Statement
   Identify the Fellowship category ("Object") that best reflects your accomplishments and explain why your work merits Fellowship.
4. Design Portfolio
   Include:

• Your most significant projects
• Your role on each project:
  • Solely responsible for design
  • Designed under your direction
  • Designed by others within your firm
• At least one image for each project

Low-resolution images are acceptable for the AIASF review. High-resolution images will be required if your application advances to AIA National.

The AIA National Fellowship application requires:

• One sponsor selected by you who is familiar with your work.
• One chapter nominator provided by AIASF.
• Seven letters of reference from active AIA members.

Additional information about the chapter nomination process and national application requirements will be provided to candidates as they advance.
