Project Architect (450 Architects)

We are looking for a Project Architect / Project Manager to join our team. This is a hybrid role for a Marin-based architect or designer who can commute to our San Francisco office. We've found that at least two days in the office each week works best for our collaborative culture. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire construction project life cycle. You will manage personnel involved at different stages of the project and showcase strong design and technical abilities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of architectural projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements, translating them into effective design solutions.
- Prepare and present design proposals, drawings, and models to clients and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants, to ensure project alignment and execution.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and resolve any design-related issues.
+ Manage project budgets and schedules, providing regular updates to stakeholders on progress and challenges. - Mentor junior staff and contribute to the professional development of team members.
- Stay current with industry trends, codes, and technologies to enhance design practices and project outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in architectural design and project management.
- Proficiency in design software (Revit, Sketchup, Enscape, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.)
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
- Experience with technical detailing
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- AIA membership and/or LEED accreditation is a plus.
- Must live in Marin County
