Junior Architectural Designer/ Recent College Graduate (Gelfand Partners Architects)
Gelfand Partners Architects is an award-winning firm that brings innovative, sustainable design and transformative solutions to schools, colleges, housing, community/civic facilities and social enterprises.
As a mid-sized firm, we hold a diverse perspective and social-minded approach to architecture. As a full-service outfit that includes architecture, landscape architecture and interiors, our experienced and talented designers have spent decades bringing sustainable, affordable and practical solutions to new and existing buildings. Our belief is simple: Make healthy, green buildings that bring in fresh air and daylight where people live, work and learn.
Gelfand Partners is one of just 12 architecture firms in the United States to become a Certified B Corporation, and one of just 4 in California. B Corps are for-profit companies that believe businesses can be a force for good while also doing well. In addition to the bottom line, we measure what matters by our impact on the social good.
We are a San Francisco Green Business. Our in-office practices include recycling, composting, energy-efficient lighting and water-saving appliances. Our employees take public transit, bike or walk to work when possible, and use the hybrid electric company car when it’s necessary to drive to a meeting. Our daylit office is close to public transit.
We’re a studio based office that places high value on strong project teams. As a team member, you will support project architects and job captains designing and completing drawings for public interest projects. We value diversity and are an equal opportunity employer.
Sustaining our close-knit team spirit and culture is important to us. We do cool volunteer projects together and have fun often with regular happy hours and our annual canoe trip and picnic. We’re also committed to your professional growth and development. We have an annual budget, available to all employees, dedicated to covering the cost of relevant professional development activities, courses and exams.
