Who we are looking for: We are looking to build our staff with individuals who are curious, engaged, eager to assume responsibility and grow with our firm. The Architect/Designer 1 position is a career-track position held by a licensed or non-registered, developing professional with 4-6 years of experience. She or he engages in all phases of project delivery, assuming responsibility for specific aspects of project work. We empower our employees through mentorship, and a positive coaching style.
Each Architect/Designer 1 has the opportunity to work under the guidance of every firm Partner and Senior Architect in the firm, giving her or him the opportunity to discover different working styles and architectural approaches. Our goal is to empower our staff to generate fresh design ideas and thrive in our studio environment. The successful Architect/Designer 1 then has the opportunity to advance to Architect/Designer 2.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience
- A bachelor degree in Architecture from an accredited U.S institution or equivalent is required
- Experience working under the supervision of a licensed Architect is required. This may have been paid or unpaid work in a professional or educational setting.
- Strong Design skills, creative courage, persistent problem solver
- Basic understanding of building construction techniques
- Well versed in Revit, AutoCAD, and visualization software
- Attitude of an engaged apprentice
