The lease for AIA San Francisco (AIASF) and the Center for Architecture + Design (The Center) at the historic Hallidie Building is up for renewal. The Board of Directors are actively involved in investigating options for our headquarters location. From the membership survey, visioning workshop, and strategic planning session earlier this year, we learned that there is a strong desire to grow our audience and expand our reach into the community.
AIA San Francisco has been housed on the 6th floor of the Hallidie Building for over 30 years yet still lacks the physical space and critical presence at street level to effectively engage the public, and to provide the depth and breadth of programming that our city—and its challenges—demand.
Join us on Tuesday, September 10 to learn more about our plans to create a visible, accessible, and vibrant space capable of accommodating both large gatherings and concurrent meetings and events, retail and exhibits, expanded office facilities for a larger staff, and a level of execution that evokes our creative membership.

First-time registrants: everyone is welcome to attend our programs. You do not need to be an AIA member to register, but you will need to create an account on the website to sign up for all AIASF events. After creating+logging into your account, complete your event registration by clicking the "Register" button at the top of this page.
