On May 21st join instructors Denali Jones and Colin Shane at the Pacific Energy Center as they describe airtightness testing lessons learned from building projects in Seattle, WA, the benefits of getting serious about air leakage, and what’s involved in implementing your approach. Washington State requires airtightness testing in all new commercial buildings and residential buildings over three stories. Airtightness testing quantifies infiltration through the building enclosure and identifies airflow paths requiring sealing. While testing is not yet required in California, it is recognized as essential for comfort, energy performance and proper sizing of HVAC systems, regardless of building type. This class qualifies for 6.5 CEU for AIA-HSW
