Oakland Food Hub

Merit Award

Unbuilt Design

The proposed Oakland Food Hub is a contemporary model of the public food market ancient urban typology. Conceived as a node in the expanding system of local food distribution in the Bay Area, the Hub would operate on multiple scales as a wholesale/retail farmers market, education facility and local business incubator.
