The converted 1909 box factory in San Francisco’s Mission District was renovated and expanded to more fully achieve ODC’s long-standing goal of providing an international contemporary dance center on the West Coast. The addition’s pure form and materials complement the historic building while subtly underscoring the deference of new to old.
