Have you recently submitted your application for membership?
AIA San Francisco member benefits (local level only) are active as of the day you submit your application. However, you will not have your member number until after your application and payment are processed by the National office. If you wish to register for an event or class using your new local member discount but do not have a number, provide a copy of your application or other proof of your new membership with your registration.

If you are a member of the national chapter and you would like to reach member services at the national office, please call 800.242.3837.
| If you are currently a member of a different chapter and would like to receive benefits of AIA San Francisco membership, you have one or more options depending on your type of membership : |
AIA, Int'l Assoc. AIA, Assoc. AIA or Emeritus members
- If you are in good standing with your primary chapter, you may join AIA SF as a Component Affiliate. Component Affiliate membership allows you to enjoy the benefits of your primary chapter and AIA SF.
- If you are a member at another chapter but would like to transfer your membership to AIA SF, please contact the Membership department at [membership] at [aiasf.org] or call 415.864.2629.
Allied members (working in a field other than architecture and/or doesn't have an architecture degree)
- You may join AIA SF as an Allied (individual) or Corporate Allied (firm) member.

To change your membership to the Architect (AIA) status, click the link below to download the application. | Emeritus membership is available to any AIA Architect or Associate member who has been a member of the AIA for 15 successive years and is at least 65 years of age or is incapacitated and unable to work in the architecture profession (include letter of explanation). |
Emeritus members receive similar benefits as Architect and Associate members, without the customary membership fees. Emeritus members do NOT have mandatory dues (yearly dues are $0). - Emeritus members keep their original designation (i.e., AIA, Int'l Assoc. AIA, Assoc. AIA), but have Emeritus status.

Emeritus members do not have mandatory dues, but do have the option to subscribe to AIA San Francisco print mailings for $70.
