The second installment of the Growing a Small Firm series will focus on public design opportunities. Panelists Edgar Lopez (Deputy Division Manager, San Francisco Department of Public Works), Rona Rothenberg, FAIA (Senior Program Manager, Design and Construction, the Judicial Council of CA-AOC), Ivar Satero (Airport Deputy Director at SFO), and Rob Gayle, AIA (Associate Vice Chancelor, Capital Projects, UC Berkeley) will be on hand to discuss their experiences hiring and working with small firms on small and large scale public projects. Mark Cavagnero, FAIA will moderate.

This program is part of the Growing a Small Firm series, created by AIA San Francisco and Mark Cavagnero, FAIA. Growing a Small Firm is a monthly series of panel discussions specially designed to help architects who have recently branched out on their own, have a growing firm or are considering starting their own business in 2013. These best practice lectures will bring together some of San Francisco’s leading architects, contractors, engineers, and other design professionals for evenings of focused conversation and invaluable insight.

Earn IDP Experience Hours

Interns may earn IDP Supplemental Experience hours by completing approved AIA Continuing Education programs. One AIA CEU/LU is equal to one IDP experience hour. When submitting to NCARB, LU’s must be documented on the intern’s AIA Transcript. Please email Michelle Railsback with any questions.
