As the first center of its kind on the West Coast, the Center for Architecture + Design enhances public appreciation for architecture and design both locally and internationally through exhibitions, lectures, tours, film series and other programs that aim to reveal the richness of the design arts. The Center for Architecture + Design celebrates the larger diverse design community and is a collaborative environment where design organizations and affiliates share space and engage in the overall programming goal and mission.
The Center for Architecture + Design is located within the home of AIA San Francisco on the sixth floor of the historic Hallidie Building. Members of the public and potential clients are welcome to visit the Center for Architecture + Design Resource Library to look for an architect, research current design trends, and learn more about the local Bay Area architecture and design community.
Membership to the Center for Architecture + Design is open to members of the public as well as all members of the design professions. Complete membership information will be available fall 2006. For more information call 415.362.7397 or email [info] at [cadsf.org].
