LINE, AIA San Francisco's biannual design journal, connects Bay Area architects, designers, and the community. Founded in 1998, LINE engages readers of all backgrounds with intelligent, in-depth, insider perspectives on architecture, design, urban planning, and more. While issues tend to focus on local interest stories, LINE writers, many of whom are industry professionals, consistently tackle a wide variety of themes. Past issues have addressed everything from international practice to sustainable design, and future issues are poised to push the boundaries even further.
LINE's theme-based issues have found readers outside the profession and beyond the Bay Area, attracting favorable notice from Architect's Journal, Architectural Record, Architectural Review, and ArchNewsNow.com.
An archive of past issues is available online. Requests to reprint a specific article from LINE should be sent to [editors] at [linemag.org].
LINE publishes two issues a year. LINE can be found at www.linemag.org.
