As the Bay Area's leading community resource for members of the public interested in architecture and design, AIA San Francisco offers an exciting and dynamic year-round public programming series in conjunction with the Center for Architecture + Design.
Through this year-round series, we engage members of the public on the importance of the built environment to our cities and lives. We do this by furthering public education on the role of the architect and the design profession, by showcasing good design through architectural tours, and by hosting numerous exhibitions and lectures.
Our most popular public programs, San Francisco Living: Home Tours and Architecture and the City, take place each September and offer members of the public a firsthand look at what the Bay Area's talented design professionals have to offer. Each winter we host the Bay Area's leading architectural lecture series with SFMOMA's Architecture + Design Forum—the AIA SF/SFMOMA Architecture Lectures Series. Throughout the remainder of the year, we host significant programs with other design and cultural organizations, including Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, de Young Museum, and SPUR.
