EXCEPTIONAL MARKETING FOR SMALL FIRMS

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Small Firms, Great Projects provides a venue for smaller firms to showcase their best work to potential clients. The diversity of work represented is outstanding and demonstrates the strength of Bay Area architecture. Combining robust marketing and guaranteed publication, your firms’ work will be seen by thousands of people seeking an architect.

MEDIA SPONSOR

Small Firms, Great Projects 2006 is partnering with San Francisco magazine. All firms will receive a full-page, four-color architect profile in the Small Firms, Great Projects magazine, reaching a design-focused audience of 10,000. All firms will also be recognized in list form in a separate, special four-color advertisement in the December issue of San Francisco magazine, and select firms will be published in a feature article in the same issue—reaching San Francisco magazine’s 400,000 readers. Select entrants may be published in subsequent issues of San Francisco magazine.Participating Firms Receive:Select entrants may be featured in the December 2006 issue of San Francisco magazine, and may be considered for articles in future issues.

  • Fifty copies of the Small Firms, Great Projects 2006 magazine. AIA San Francisco will distribute 500 copies during the annual San Francisco Living: Home Tours, held September 16-17 2006 and throughout Architecture and the City month, held in September 2006. Copies will also be available at the Western Interiors & Design Home Show September 8-10, 2006 and the Dwell on Design Conference, September 15-17, 2006.
  • Name recognition in the December 2006 issue of San Francisco magazine and promotion during the Small Firms, Great Projects 2006 opening reception, the traveling exhibition, and the San Francisco magazine website. 
  • One page of marketing exposure for each submitted project on the Small Firms, Great Projects website—www.aiasf.org/sfgp.
  • Participation in the Small Firms, Great Projects 2006 Exhibition at the San Francisco Design Center Winter Market, sponsored in part by San Francisco magazine and San Francisco Design Center. The Winter Market will be held in January, 2007.
  • Four tickets to the Small Firms, Great Projects 2006 Exhibition Opening Party, held in January 2007.

In addition, San Francisco magazine and AIA San Francisco will distribute copies to members and clients and at various events throughout 2006 and 2007.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Architects must be a local small firm with 19 or fewer employees
  • Firms can submit one project for a one-page layout or two projects for a two-page spread. Entry fees are per project. Completion date not required for projects.
  • Firms may submit projects that have been previously published in Small Firms, Great Projects 2005 or other publications.
