After over twenty-five years working in architecture and design Kathryn Shaffer began Kathy Shaffer Architecture & Design in 2004 with the intent of focusing her expertise on residential projects. Her experience also includes restaurants, museums, offices, and mixed-use buildings, and her designs emphasize the use of light and color and draw upon native materials and historical typology. Her Sausalito-based firm covers the entire San Francisco Bay Area.
