The program requirements call for the conversion of an existing industrial shed into for-living quarters for an extended family. The 4,500 square feet of interior space includes four bedrooms and large communal areas for intimate or larger family gatherings. The project’s planning, materiality and assembly reverberate with the site’s inherent qualities of directionality and scale, establishing new connections between building and landscape.
