04/29/2008   Senior Project Manager - Justice Projects


The Market Lead will be instrumental in the continued success of Lionakis in the Justice project market, including juvenile detention facilities, courthouses, and large-scale correctional institutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the planning and design of justice related projects and will be highly effective in both resource and project team management. In conjunction with Studio Leadership, this individual will be responsible to grow the success of the Justice market through business development efforts and excellence in project execution for current clientele. Strong candidates will have proven leadership and interpersonal communication skills, display professional and personal maturity, and exhibit a stable work history that demonstrates the ability to make and keep commitments. Education/Registration/Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a minimum of 10+ years experience in justice projects, including correctional facilities, courthouses, and juvenile detention centers. • CA Architectural license required • Proven ability to successfully manage projects, clients, and key staff • Candidates with LEED accreditation are highly encouraged to apply Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Human Resources: • Directs and mentors less experienced staff; participates in human resources issues such as staff performance reviews and conflict resolution. • Responsible for managing team resources; advises Studio Leader of resource and schedule needs. Project Management: • Project leader: Provides key decision making and direction for project teams; responsible for project direction in support of client expectations. • Develops project management tools in collaboration with Studio Leadership. • Responsible for review of project budget reports and client/consultant invoices. Business Development: • Develops proposals with assistance of PIC and/or Studio Leader; participates in client interviews and development of marketing efforts. • Leverages key industry contacts to develop leads and attain new clientele in conjunction with Business Development and Studio leadership. Project Delivery: • Manages adherence to office standards of design, quality control, and production. • Reviews and assures document accuracy for clients, consultants, and project teams. • Responsible for QA/QC processes; evaluates and assures intent of recommendations are implemented; assures "lessons learned" are communicated to the QA/QC Council. Position conditions: This role involves light travel to client sites for project meetings and implementation. EOE m/f/d/v
