Founded in 1976, PWA is headquartered in San Francisco, with a branch office in Sacramento. PWA is seeking a Project Accountant to join its Business Office team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and flexible with outstanding interpersonal, communication, and computer skills. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: § AA degree in accounting § 3 years A&E accounting experience § Experience with Project accounting § Proficient at using Deltek Advantage and/or Vision § Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook § Excellent communication skills DESIRABLE SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: § BA in Accounting § Familiarity with government contracting and accounting procedures § Familiarity with Access § Experience with the preparation of financial statements RESPONSIBILITIES: All project-related accounting including setting up projects and proposal info in the accounting system; reviewing project and sub consultant contracts; ensuring project insurance requirements are in place; meeting with project managers on a monthly basis; invoicing; tracking and communicating financial indicators related to projects and billability; being responsible for A/R and collections; assisting with the month end close; assisting with financial and administrative reporting; and other special projects as required.
