ZACK/de VITO ARCHITECTURE is a multi-disciplinary, design oriented firm working on architectural, interiors, building and development projects. Our work is detail and construction oriented, modern in attitude and execution with an increasing emphasis on sustainability. We also have a growing Design/Build & Development company, working hand in hand with the architecture office. Select projects are undertaken as design/build projects, with Z/dV acting as architect and our construction company, BuiltForm Construction, as contractor. Current projects include: New custom homes, restaurants and residential development projects in the Bay area and neighboring states.

We have two openings:

Intermediate 4-6 years of experience working in an architect’s office. This position will be to support a group of project architects on a wide range of projects, helping with design, drafting and misc. project tasks. Some project management on smaller projects is likely.

Senior 6-10 years experience working on residential and/or light commercial projects, highly developed design, detailing and project management skills, be self-motivated and able to work independently from design through construction. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects independently, under the direction of the principal and managing junior staff. You must be experienced and competent in all aspects of architecture. Proven Experience on developing both standard and custom detailing would be highly beneficial.

Our firm is well established, but growing in size and scope of projects. There is the opportunity for large amounts of project autonomy and responsibility for the right person.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & TASKS • You Ideally will have Macintosh/Vectorworks experience. We are a Mac office, so familiarity with Mac applications is required. We are currently using VW 11 and 12.5.

• Restaurant design experience would be ideal but is not required Our office is located in South Park, in a great SOMA warehouse, and we have an energetic but lighthearted atmosphere.
