Start your project off right with an AIA Contract Document. California law requires a written agreement for architectural services. So why not use a standard agreement developed by building industry experts? AIA contract documents are industry standard documents that protect everyone’s interests and are known for a reputation of fairness to all parties. Since 1888, when the first document was published, owners, architects, contractors, attorneys, insurance experts and many others have contributed to the development and revision of these documents.
AIA Contract documents are divided into the following categories:
A series: Owner/Contractor
B series: Owner/Architect
C series: Owner/Consultant
D series: Architect/Industry
E series: Exhibits
G series: Contract administration and project management forms.
